The seasons change and so do you. Allow change, feel better.

Our Purpose

To help you connect to the natural patterns of the year. To help you feel better no matter what season of the year or of life you are in.

“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”

— Lao Tzu

Like clockwork winter melts into spring. Then the summer brings full bloom. Late summer reminds us that the season doesn't last forever, bringing on the darker times of Fall and Winter. We all know the story, but we try to avoid it, to live in endless summer. With the tools to adapt to the season at hand you will feel better, be able to do your work and be connected to the cycles of nature.

Our Mission

Kent County is one of the most severely underserved communities in Tennessee. To combat this adversity, Project Sprout seeks to nourish our neighbors at the most fundamental level with healthy food options and a strong support network. All members get a portion of each harvest and surpluses are donated to low-income families whose work schedules prevent them from volunteering.

With ten gardens and counting, Project Sprout has seen a significant improvement in mental and physical health for all participating community members. Other than lowering obesity, blood pressure, and depression rates, the crime rate has also fallen. Our children are doing better in school, reporting higher grades and aspirations, and better job prospects.

Lauren Kaneko-Jones, L.Ac.

Lauren got her start as a Licensed acupuncturist in 2013. After practicing for a few years and treating thousands of patients she stepped back from full time acupuncture to work on connecting people to themselves and the seasons in a more educational outlook. Lauren's goal is to re-connect people to the natural cycles in order to help support variety in their nutrition, variation in exercise, different patterns in sleep as well as during different times of women's cycles. This work is valuable and has many people walk away empowered to make huge changes in their lives.
